SB20-1224 – CITIZENSHIP STATUS
A landlord or owner cannot ask the citizenship of any prospective tenant or anyone in that household.
HB20-1332 – HOUSING DISCRIMINATION SOURCE OF INCOME
An owner or landlord cannot deny an applicant that receives any subsidy (I.E. Housing Voucher, Cash Voucher, monies from POSADA, Catholic Charities, ETC) as part of their qualifying income.
The mission of the rental association has always been to help educate members in providing fair, safe and professionally managed properties. The early organizers wrote a Code of Ethics to help ensure that mission would be accomplished.
